(1) This section applies if a worker who has sustained
an injury that is pneumoconiosis (the
"current injury" )—
(a) is entitled to compensation under subdivision 1 or 2
for the current injury; and
(b) has previously received compensation under
subdivision 1 or 2 for another injury that was pneumoconiosis (a
"previous injury" ).
(2) The compensation to which the worker would otherwise
be entitled under subdivision 1 or 2 for the current injury must be reduced by
an amount equal to the total of all amounts previously paid to the worker
under subdivision 1 or 2 for the previous injury.
