ACTS INTERPRETATION ACT 1931 - SECT 39A
Regulations to be judicially noticed
(1) Subject to subsection (2) , judicial notice shall be taken of regulations made or purporting to be made under an Act (a) that are published in the Gazette , in the case of regulations that are not statutory rules within the meaning of the Rules Publication Act 1953 ; or(b) the making of which is notified in the Gazette , in the case of regulations that are statutory rules within that meaning.(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1) , a court, judge, or justice may require proof of the making of any regulations referred to in that subsection or of their publication in the Gazette , or, as the case may be, of the notification in the Gazette of their making.
