56 Reporting within the Office of the Children's Guardian
(1) If a finding of reportable conduct or a determination has been made that a
conviction is a reportable conviction, the Children's Guardian must provide,
to the Working with Children Check Unit within the Office of the Children's
Guardian, a report made under this Part, if the finding relates to the
following types of conduct--
(2) Also, if the Children's Guardian is of
the opinion that there is a real and appreciable risk to the safety of
children during the course of an investigation, the Children's Guardian must
refer information about the employee the subject of the investigation to the
Working with Children Check Unit, for the purpose of considering an interim
bar under section 17 of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
.
(3) In this section--
"Working with Children Check Unit" means that part of the Office of the
Children's Guardian that exercises functions in relation to working with
children check clearances under the Child Protection (Working with Children)
Act 2012 .
