AUSTLII NATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME

The AustLII National Training Programme in Internet Legal Research, presented in conjunction with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) at UNSW, is being held in Sydney at UNSW on Wednesday, 27 September 2006 and on Wednesday 25 October 2006. Courses in other cities are are scheduled when there is sufficient demand. The full day course provides a systematic introduction to Australian and international legal materials on the Internet, with the emphasis on those materials which are available for free access. The wealth of free-access digital resources that have become available in recent years make them indispensable both to those who depend on free access, and to those who also have access to the commercial legal publishers' services. NEW DATABASES

"Australasian Intellectual Property Law Library" This library includes databases of Intellectual Property law available on AustLII. Catalog and Websearch enables searches of Intellectual Property materials on other websites as does Law on Google. The Legal Publishers Search searches over CCH's Intellectual Law Library materials. The library is supported by the Unlocking IP Project <http://www.cyberlawcentre.org/>, a research project supported by the Australian Research Council and also by CCH Australia Limited <http://www.cch.com.au/>. "Queensland Numbered Acts 2004-"

AUSTLII TOOLBAR UPDATED

The AustLII Toolbar has been updated to include the many new databases which have been added to the AustLII website in recent months.

The Toolbar is available for the Netscape v7.x web browser, the Mozilla Suite v1.x web browser, the Mozilla Firefox v1.x and 2.0 web browser and the Microsoft Internet Explorer v5+ web browser.

The Toolbar allows you to search AustLII from any website page. It includes the AustLII drop-down menu which lists links for most of the major category materials for all Australasian jurisdictions. The toolbar also has customisable buttons which link to the other Legal Information Institutes.
