NATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME: BRISBANE, SYDNEY

The AustLII National Training Programme in Internet Legal Research, presented in conjunction with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) at UNSW, is being held in Brisbane on Friday, 12 November and a fortnight later in Sydney on Friday, 26 November.

Keep yourself up-to-date with this full day course which provides a systematic introduction to Australian and international legal materials on the Internet, with an emphasis on those materials available for free access. The huge variety of free-access digital resources that have become available in recent years make them indispensable both to those who depend on free access, and to those who also have access to commercial legal systems.

UNLOCKING IP CONFERENCE

Unlocking IP is a two-day conference featuring cutting-edge perspectives from the frontiers of education, law, publishing and IT. The conference delves into creative licensing, and explores new models for sharing and trading intellectual property works.

NEW CASES DATABASE

"Pharmacy Board of New South Wales"
The full text decisions of the Pharmacy Board of New South Wales, as selected by the Board, are now available on AustLII. Decisions from 1990 onwards are included in the database. See <http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/cases/nsw/NSWPB/>.


EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT AUSTLII

We currently have a couple of positions vacant at AustLII for systems and project officers. These officers will be responsible for the development and maintenance of AustLII and WorldLII databases as well as developing AustLII and WorldLII systems and software.

We are seeking applicants with strong skills in computer science. A background in law is highly desirable. These positions will be situated at the Faculty of Law, University of Technology, Sydney. For more information see:
