NATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME: FIRST SYDNEY COURSE

The first Sydney course of AustLII's National Training Programme in Internet Legal Research will be held this Wednesday, 20 October at UNSW. Places are still available if you act quickly.

Keep yourself up-to-date with this full day course which provides a systematic introduction to Australian and international legal materials on the Internet, with an emphasis on those materials available for free access. The huge variety of free-access digital resources that have become available in recent years make them indispensable both to those who depend on free access, and to those who also have access to commercial legal systems.

The course is suitable for anyone wishing to acquire or update their online legal research skills and learn about the vast amount of free-access legal information. While the course will assume knowledge of the principal types of legal materials and an understanding of how to browse the Internet, it will not assume prior knowledge of Internet legal research techniques. The course will cover:

The AustLII National Training Programme is being presented in conjunction with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) at UNSW, and has received generous assistance from CCH Australia Limited.
