(1) A police officer must retire from the Police Service on attaining
the age of 65 years.
(2) A police officer may retire from the Police Service on or after
attaining the age of 55 years.
(3) A police officer may retire from the Police Service if the
Commissioner –
(a) considers that the police officer is unable to efficiently and effectively
perform his or her duties because of any reason specified under
section 29 ; and
