Acknowledgement that a person is a proper respondent to a claim is not an admission of liability
11 Acknowledgement that a person is a proper respondent to a claim is not an
admission of liability
(1) Notice by a person that the person considers that the person is a proper
respondent to a claim is not an admission of liability by the person in
relation to the claim.
(2) Also, a person does not breach a term or condition
of any relevant insurance policy only because the person gives notice under
subsection (1) .
(3) Further, an insurer does not agree to indemnify a person
under any relevant insurance policy only because the insurer gives notice on
behalf of the person under subsection (1) .
(4) Subsection (2) or (3) has
effect whether the notice under the subsection was given before or after the
commencement of the subsection.
