About Ramingining Homeland Resource Centre
Ramingining Homeland Resource Centre is in Arnhem Land, about 600km from Darwin and has a population of about 800 people. The Resource Centre caters for and
administers the 10 main homelands surrounding Ramingining. The Homeland Resource Centre is responsible for the coordination of the CDEP (Community Development Employment Projects)which currently employs 204 people. The centre also runs a garage, provides
fuel, and provide a ranger service for the area.
In Ramingining there is a school, a clinic, a local council, an Alpa store,the Bula Bula arts centre and, of course, the Homelands Resource Centre.
The resource centre is
currently undergoing renovations in the hope of being able to take on such enterprises as the local air charter business in the near future.
