53 . Expenditure
(1) Where the Minister
approves of the payment, under section 14, of moneys from the Trust Interest
Account, to the Society or to some other body charged with the functions of
law reform, then, if those payments are made by the Trust, the Society or
other body, as the case may be, shall maintain accounts of all moneys so
received and of their expenditure and shall, at the conclusion of each
financial year, cause those accounts to be audited by an accountant who is
registered as a company auditor under the Corporations Act 2001 of the
Commonwealth and deliver a copy of them to the Minister, the Trust and the
Board and the Minister shall have them presented to both Houses of Parliament.
