LEGAL CONTRIBUTION TRUST ACT 1967 - SECT 31
31 . Trust may instigate investigations
(1) Where the Trust
has reasonable grounds for believing that a practitioner holds, or has held,
moneys or securities belonging to, or for or on behalf of, another person and
has failed to account to that person in respect of them or any of them, the
Trust may require the Board to make such investigation and take such action as
the Board may think appropriate; and the costs and expenses of any
investigation made or action taken by the Board may be paid out of the
Guarantee Fund.
(2) An action shall
not lie against the Trust or any member or servant of the Trust by reason only
of any action taken, in good faith, under the provisions of subsection (1).
