ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION ACT 1988 - SECT 45
45 . Power to enter premises
(1) For the purposes
of carrying out an investigation, the Commission or a special investigator may
at any time enter any premises occupied or used by a public authority or
public officer in that capacity and —
(a)
inspect the premises and anything in or on them; and
(b) take
copies of any documents in or on the premises.
(2) A public authority
or public officer shall make available to the Commission or a special
investigator such facilities as are necessary to enable the powers conferred
by subsection (1) to be exercised.
(3) The powers
conferred by this section may be exercised despite any rule of law which, in
proceedings in a court, might justify an objection to an inspection of the
premises or to the production of a document or other thing on grounds of
public interest.
