Western Australian Consolidated Regulations (1) The firearms
register is to set out, in relation to each occasion on which a security
officer is in possession of a firearm while performing any licensed activity
for the business —
(a) the
full name and licence number of the security officer;
(b) the
type and serial number of the firearm;
(c) the
type and quantity of ammunition carried by the security officer;
(d) the
date and time when the firearm was removed from the business premises;
(e) the
date and time when the firearm was returned to those premises; and
(f) if
the firearm was discharged during the performance of the licensed
activity —
(i)
the date and time of the discharge;
(ii)
the reason for the discharge;
(iii)
if it was discharged by a person other than the security
officer, the name of that person (if known); and
(iv)
details of any injury or damage caused by the discharge.
(2) The details
referred to in subregulation (1)(a) to (c) must be recorded in the
register before the firearm is removed from the business premises and the
details referred to in subregulation (1)(d) to (f) must be recorded as
soon as practicable after the event in question occurs.
