Western Australian Consolidated Regulations (1) A vehicle examiner
has, in relation to a vehicle submitted for examination by the owner of the
vehicle or a police officer, all the powers that a police officer has under
this Part.
(2) The powers given
to a police officer under this Part are in addition to any other powers given
to a police officer under these regulations or any other written law.
(3) A person must not
obstruct a police officer or vehicle examiner in the exercise of any of his or
her powers under this Part.
Penalty:
(a) for
a first offence: 24 PU;
(b) for
a subsequent offence —
(i)
minimum penalty: 48 PU;
(ii)
maximum penalty: 144 PU.
