ROAD TRAFFIC CODE 2000 - REG 243

243 .         Opening doors and alighting from vehicles

                A person shall not —

            (a)         open, or leave open, a door of a vehicle; or

            (b)         alight from a vehicle onto a carriageway,

                so as to endanger other persons using the road or impede the passage of traffic.

        Modified penalty: 1 PU
