RULES OF THE SUPREME COURT 1971 - ORDER 37 RULE 1
1 . Title of affidavits
(1) Subject to
subrules (2) and (3) every affidavit must be entitled in the cause or
matter in which it is sworn and bear the number of the cause or matter.
(2) Where a cause or
matter is entitled in more than one matter it is sufficient to state the first
matter followed by the words “and other matters”.
(3) Where a cause or
matter is entitled in a matter or matters and between parties, so much of the
title as consists of the matter or matters may be omitted.
(4) An affidavit may
be sworn for use in proceedings which are yet to be commenced and must be
entitled in the intended cause or matter.
