Western Australian Consolidated Regulations Western Australian Consolidated Regulations Where any operation in
connection with the aligning, clamping, welding or any other procedure
associated with joining sections of pipelines in trenches or excavations is
being carried out, a person shall not enter any part of the trench or
excavation in which or in the vicinity of which the operation or procedure is
being carried out unless —
(a) the
pipe is not more than 6 inches above the bottom of the trench or excavation;
and
(b) the
part of the trench or excavation is a bell hole.
