Western Australian Consolidated Regulations (1) For the purposes
of the Act, a martial art, sport or activity is prescribed to be a combat
sport if —
(a) it
is specified in Schedule 1; or
(b) the
primary objective of a participant in a contest of the martial art, sport or
activity is to strike, kick, hit, grapple with, throw or punch another
participant, or do any combination of those things.
(2) Despite
subregulation (1)(b), wrestling that is intended to be theatrical or
humorous is not prescribed to be a combat sport.
(3) Nothing in
subregulation (1) renders an unlawful martial art, sport or activity to
be lawful.
