Western Australian Consolidated Regulations (1) The signal to be
displayed by the master of a dredger within a port for a purpose set out in
the first column of Table 2 in the Second Schedule shall be the signal
set out in the second column of that Table opposite to that purpose.
(2) The master of a
dredger who fails to give the appropriate signal set out in that Table in any
case where the dredger —
(a) is
blocking a channel;
(b) is
under way but unable to manoeuvre so as to give way to or avoid any other
vessel;
(c) is
otherwise unable to move, or is out of control; or
(d) is
so placed or is so being worked as to constitute a danger to the safe
navigation of any other vessel unless the appropriate signal is given,
commits an offence.
