Western Australian Consolidated Regulations (1) The Board may make
and carry into effect arrangements under which an agreed sum or agreed assets
are to be paid by or transferred from another superannuation fund to the Fund
for the benefit of a member of the Fund.
(1a) The arrangements
may be made with the member or the trustee of or other persons controlling the
other fund or both.
(2) A member in
respect of whom arrangements have been made for the transfer to the Fund of an
agreed sum or agreed assets under subregulation (1) shall, as a member,
be granted such rights to benefits additional to those otherwise provided
under these regulations as are determined by the Board on the advice of the
actuary.
(3) If a member has
been granted additional benefits under subregulation (2) that are
calculated on a defined benefit basis, they may be converted to benefits
calculated on an accumulation basis on such terms as the Board and member
agree.
