Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A person is not to
publish in any newspaper or other printed medium, or broadcast or televise,
any report of the proceedings of a juvenile justice team or any information
likely to identify any young person as a person dealt with by a juvenile
justice team.
(2) A person who
contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence
punishable —
(a) by
the Supreme Court as for a contempt; or
(b)
after summary conviction, by a fine of $10 000 or imprisonment for
12 months.
(3) Proceedings for a
contravention of subsection (1) may be taken by or on behalf of the
Attorney General.
