section 17C a person is appointed on an honorary basis —
(a) the
person is, while performing the functions of the position, to be regarded for
the purposes of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury
Management Act 1981 3 as a worker employed by the State; and
(b) for
the purposes of that Act, the person’s weekly earnings are to be taken
to be the amount that the Minister considers is reasonable in the
circumstances.
