Western Australian Consolidated Acts Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister may,
by order, declare a place to be a detention centre.
(2) The Minister may,
by order, vary or revoke an order under subsection (1).
(3) An order under
this section does not have effect until after it is published in the Gazette
and the date of effect shall not be earlier than the date of publication and
such order shall be a regulation for the purposes of section 42 of the
Interpretation Act 1984 .
