WORKERS' COMPENSATION AND INJURY MANAGEMENT ACT 1981 - SECT 182A
182A . Director, Conciliation, designation and functions of
(1) The chief
executive officer is to designate a person who is an officer of WorkCover WA
as the Director, Conciliation.
(2) The Director
—
(a) is
responsible for the administration of the Conciliation Service; and
(b) is
to allocate work to conciliation officers; and
(c)
without limiting the functions of the chief executive officer, is to manage
and direct the staff of the Conciliation Service; and
(d) has,
and may perform, all the functions of a conciliation officer; and
(e) is
to provide advice as to the content of the conciliation rules; and
(f) has
the other functions conferred on the Director by this Act or any other written
law.
(3) The Director is
not subject to the management or direction of the chief executive officer as
to any decision to be made, or discretion to be exercised, in relation to a
particular dispute.
