Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) There is to be a
chief executive officer of the corporation.
(2) The
powers —
(a) to
appoint and remove the chief executive officer; and
(b) to
fix and alter his or her terms and conditions of service,
are vested in the
board.
(3) The board is to
obtain the concurrence of the Minister before it exercises any of the powers
conferred by subsection (2).
(4) Subject to any
provision of his or her terms and conditions of service, the chief executive
officer may resign his or her office by giving notice in writing to the board.
(5) The board may
appoint a person to act in place of the chief executive officer —
(a)
during a vacancy in that office; or
(b)
during any period when the chief executive officer is unable to carry out his
or her duties or is absent from the State.
(6) Despite
subsection (2), the Minister is to appoint the initial chief executive
officer.
