Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A person who has
in his possession any protected fauna or the skin or carcass of any protected
fauna, except where the fauna was lawfully taken, commits an offence against
this Act.
(2) A person who
sells, buys, transports or has in his possession or control the skin or
carcass of any fauna to which a tag is required to be affixed under this Act
and to which no such tag is affixed commits an offence against this Act unless
the provisions of subsection (3) apply.
(3) The provisions of
subsection (2) do not apply to any skin or carcass, or any part thereof,
lawfully taken and processed for the purposes of sale pursuant to
section 17A.
