Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Before authorising
any expenditure in the construction of works in any water area other than
works the subject of a direction given by the Minister under section 51A,
the Corporation shall cause the water board to be advised of the intentions of
the Corporation, and of the estimated cost of the works, and shall give the
water board such other information and particulars as the Corporation deems
necessary or as the water board may reasonably require.
(2) The water board,
upon receipt of such notice, shall report upon the matter, and make such
recommendations to the Minister as the circumstances may require.
(3) The Minister
shall, after consideration of such recommendations, decide thereon, and his
decision shall be final.
(4) The Corporation
shall not carry out any works to which subsection (1) applies, until the
Minister pursuant to subsection (3) has authorised the expenditure.
