Western Australian Consolidated Acts The chairman may
suspend from office any officer of the board who, in his opinion, is guilty of
misconduct or neglect, and may, if necessary, temporarily appoint another
officer in his place: Provided that, at the next meeting of the board after
the suspension, the chairman shall report the matter to the board; and if the
officer suspended is dismissed by the board, no salary or wages shall be due
or paid to him from the date of his suspension.
Every officer so
temporarily appointed shall hold office and receive remuneration (which shall
in no case exceed that paid to the officer or servant suspended) only until
the board decides whether the person suspended shall be re-instated, or
whether he shall be dismissed and a successor appointed in his stead.
