WESTERN AUSTRALIAN TOURISM COMMISSION ACT 1983 - SECT 24
24 . Funds and Commission Account
(1) The funds
available for the purpose of enabling the Commission to carry out its objects
and perform its functions under this Act consist of —
(a)
moneys from time to time appropriated by Parliament for the purposes of this
Act;
(b) all
moneys received by the Commission for services provided under the authority of
this Act;
(c) all
moneys received by the Commission for the purposes of this Act;
(d) any
moneys received by the Commission in repayment of any loan or part thereof
authorised to be made under section 14 and interest thereon;
(e) any
other moneys received by the Commission, except moneys received and held on
behalf of any person in its capacity as a travel agent.
(2) The funds referred
to in subsection (1) shall be paid into, and be placed to the credit of, an
account at a bank within the State approved by the Treasurer, to be called the
“Western Australian Tourism Commission Account”.
(3) The Commission is
authorised to pay moneys out of the Commission Account —
(a) in
payment of all costs and expenses incurred by the Commission for the purpose
of giving effect to this Act;
(b) in
the repayment of moneys borrowed by the Commission or the Department and
interest thereon;
(c) in
the repayment of money to be credited to the Consolidated Account; or
(d) in
any other way authorised by this Act.
(4) Moneys standing to
the credit of the Commission Account shall be applied by the Commission only
for the purposes of this Act.
