Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) At the first
meeting of the Board, the Board shall appoint one of its members to be
chairman of the Board.
(2) In the event of a
vacancy occurring in the office of chairman, the Board shall, at the next
meeting of the Board, after the vacancy occurs, appoint one of its members to
be chairman of the Board.
(3) Before or during
any absence of the chairman of the Board, the Board may choose one of its
members to perform the duties and exercise the powers of the chairman in his
absence, as vice-chairman and while so acting the vice-chairman has the same
powers as and is subject to the same duties as the chairman.
(4) A member of the
Board appointed as chairman holds office until the appointment of a successor
or until he ceases to be a member, whichever first happens, but is eligible
for reappointment if he is then otherwise qualified to be a member.
