Western Australian Consolidated Acts The Registrar may, of
his own motion, and shall at the direction of the Board, and an inspector
shall, at the direction of the Board or Registrar, make any investigation or
inquiry that the Registrar or the Board considers necessary or expedient for
the purpose of —
(a)
determining any application or any other matter before the Board;
(b)
determining whether or not persons are acting in conformity with any
conditions as to registration or restrictions in the practice of veterinary
surgery imposed under this Act;
(c)
determining whether or not registered veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses
or other persons subject to this Act are complying with the requirements of
this Act;
(ca)
determining whether to make an allegation to the State Administrative Tribunal
that a registered veterinary surgeon is guilty of unprofessional conduct as a
veterinary surgeon; or
(d)
detecting offences against this Act.
