Western Australian Consolidated Acts Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) This section
applies to the Board, the Council, colleges, and an institution established
under Part 6.
(2) Subject to
subsection (4), the Minister may give directions to a body to which this
section applies with respect to the performance by that body of its functions
under this Act either generally or in relation to a particular matter, and the
body is to give effect to those directions.
(3) A direction may be
given under subsection (2) requiring a body to have regard to a
particular policy or principle.
(4) The Minister may
not give directions to —
(a) the
Board, with respect to the performance of its functions under Part 7A
Division 2; or
(b) the
Council, with respect to the performance of its functions under Part 7A
Division 1.
(5) The text of any
direction given to —
(a) the
Board or the Council is to be included in the annual report presented to the
Minister under section 24 or 30; or
(b) a
college or other institution is to be included in the annual report submitted
by the accountable authority of the college or other institution under
Part 5 of the Financial Management Act 2006 .
