surrender of the whole of a plantation interest is registered, all rights,
obligations and restrictions under the relevant agreement cease to have
effect, except to the extent that the agreement provides otherwise.
(2) When a surrender
of part of a plantation interest is registered, all rights, obligations and
restrictions under the relevant agreement cease to have effect in respect of
the surrendered part, except to the extent that the agreement provides
otherwise.
