² The provision in this Act repealing the Taxi-car Control Act 1985 has been omitted under s. 7(4)(f) of the Reprints Act 1984.

³ Under the Land Administration Act 1997 s. 281(3) a reference in a written law to the Land Act 1933 is, unless the contrary intention appears, to be construed as if it had been amended to be a reference to the Land Administration Act 1997.

⁴ The State Administrative Tribunal (Conferral of Jurisdiction) Amendment and Repeal Act 2004 Pt. 5, the State Administrative Tribunal Act 2004 s. 167 and 169, and the State Administrative Tribunal Regulations 2004 r. 28 and 42 deal with certain transitional issues some of which may be relevant for this Act.

⁵ The Courts Legislation Amendment and Repeal Act 2004 Sch. 2 cl. 49 was repealed by the Criminal Law and Evidence Amendment Act 2008 s. 77(13).

⁶ On the date as at which this compilation was prepared, the Co-operatives Act 2009 s. 510 and 517 had not come into operation. They read as follows:

510. Taxi Act 1994 amended

(1) This section amends the Taxi Act 1994.

(2) In section 3(3)(b) after “1943” insert:

and a co-operative incorporated under the Co-operatives Act 2009

517. Taxi Act 1994 amended

(1) This section amends the Taxi Act 1994.

(2) In section 3(3)(b) delete “a company within the meaning of the Companies (Co-operative) Act 1943, and”.
