Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) This section
applies to —
(a) a
person who is or was a member of the Commission, or a committee of it;
(b) a
person whose services the Commission makes or made use of, or who is or
was engaged or employed to assist the Commission; and
(c) a
person who is or was the Director or an officer in the State Records Office.
(2) A person to whom
this section applies must not, directly or indirectly, disclose or make use
of —
(a) any
information that is in a State record to which the person has access in the
course of duty;
(b) any
information obtained in the course of duty,
except —
(c) for
the purpose of performing functions under this Act;
(d) as
required or allowed by this Act or under another written law;
(e) in
the case of a government record, with the consent of the government
organization that has control of it.
Penalty: $10 000.
