SCHOOL EDUCATION ACT 1999 - SECT 156B
156B . Notice to be given to CEO about changes to governing bodies of schools
(1) The governing body
of a registered school must give written notice, in accordance with subsection
(2), to the chief executive officer if —
(a)
there is a change to the constitution of the governing body, whether by the
amendment or substitution of the constitution; or
(b)
there is a change to the membership of the governing body.
Penalty: a fine of $5 000.
(2) Notice is to be
given no later than 30 days after the change is made and is to be accompanied
by —
(a) if
subsection (1)(a) applies — a copy of the amendment to the constitution
or the substituted constitution; and
(b) if
subsection (1)(b) applies — a list of the names of any new members and
of any persons who are no longer members.
