Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A person who is
authorised under section 15 to apply for a warrant may apply to a court
for an extension of the period that a warrant is to be in force.
(2) An application for
an extension under this section must be made —
(a) in
the manner provided by section 15 in respect of an application for the
issue of a warrant, but subject to any necessary modifications; and
(b) on
or before the date the warrant is to expire.
(3) If a court extends
the period that a warrant is to be in force, the court must endorse on the
warrant the date on which the extended warrant is to expire.
(4) A warrant may be
extended for a period not longer than 90 days, but nothing in this
section prevents another application or applications being made under this
section for a further extension or extensions.
