STATE ADMINISTRATIVE TRIBUNAL ACT 2004 - SECT 116
116 . Magistrates to be ex officio members
(1) A magistrate is ex
officio a member of the Tribunal.
(2) The President and
the Chief Stipendiary Magistrate may enter into arrangements regarding the
performance by magistrates of functions as members of the Tribunal.
(3) A magistrate is
not authorised to perform any function as a member of the Tribunal except
—
(a) when
performing functions as a magistrate, as directed by the Chief Stipendiary
Magistrate, in a place that is prescribed by the regulations for the purposes
of this section; and
(b) as
authorised by, and in conformity with, any relevant arrangements entered into
under subsection (2).
