SOIL AND LAND CONSERVATION ACT 1945 - SECT 11
11 . Proceedings of Council
(1) Meetings of the
Council shall be held at such times and places as the Council or the
chairperson from time to time appoints.
(2) The quorum for a
meeting of the Council is one half of the number of Council members.
(2A) The presence of a
Council member at a meeting of the Council need not be by attendance in person
but may be by that member and each other member at the meeting being
simultaneously in contact by telephone or other means of instantaneous
communication.
(3) Subject to this
Act and the regulations the Council may regulate its own proceedings.
(4) The Council may
invite any member of a district committee or any other person to attend at any
meeting of the Council and take part in any discussion on any matter being
dealt with by the Council, but that member or other person is not entitled to
vote on any such matter.
