anything to the contrary contained in this Act —
(a) the
commencing date for payment of any pension or superannuation allowance under
this Act to a contributor shall, subject to paragraph (c), be the day
following the day when such contributor ceased duty on or after either
attaining the age for which he elected to retire or becoming otherwise
entitled to retire under this Act, as the case may be;

(c) a
personal pension or superannuation allowance shall not be payable to a
contributor (other than a contributor whose pension is granted under
section 61) until the completion of payment of the equivalent of 26
contributions at the periodical rates applicable to that contributor.
