Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A victim, or a
person who may do so under subsection (2), may give a victim impact
statement to a court to assist the court in determining the proper sentence
for the offender.
(2) If because of age,
disability or any other reason a victim is personally incapable of giving a
victim impact statement, another person may give it on the victim’s
behalf if the court is satisfied that it is appropriate for that other person
to do so.
