Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Where a tenant
under an agreement abandons the premises, the owner shall be entitled to
compensation from the tenant for any loss (including loss of rent) caused
thereby, but shall take all reasonable steps to mitigate such loss and shall
not be entitled to compensation in respect of any loss that could have been
avoided thereby.
(2) A competent court
may, upon application by the owner, order the tenant to pay to the owner any
compensation to which the owner is entitled under this section.
