ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1974 - SECT 80D
80D . Effect of confiscation under s. 80A, 80C or 80CB
(1) The property in a
vehicle that is confiscated under section 80A, as in force at any time, 80C(1)
or 80CB(1) vests absolutely in the State when the order is made, free from all
interests, rights, titles or claims in or to the ownership or possession of
the vehicle.
(2) Subsection (1)
does not operate to prevent proceeds from the sale or disposal of a
confiscated vehicle from being paid in accordance with section 80J(7).
