General causes a person applying for a driver’s licence or an extension
of the authority given by a driver’s licence to undergo a driving test
for the purposes of demonstrating the applicant’s ability to drive, the
applicant is authorised to drive in the course of the driving test as if the
applicant were at that time the holder of the appropriate driver’s
licence.
