ROYAL COMMISSIONS ACT 1968 - SECT 26
26 . Fraud on witness
A person who practises
any fraud or deceit on, or knowingly makes or exhibits any false statement,
representation, token, or writing to, any person called or to be called as a
witness before any Commission with intent to affect the testimony of that
person as a witness, is guilty of a crime.
Penalty: Imprisonment for 5 years.
Summary conviction penalty: Imprisonment for 2
years and a fine of $24 000.
