Western Australian Consolidated Acts In the case of a
public service officer in a department or organisation who is appointed by the
Governor —
(a) the
powers conferred on an employing authority by this Part (other than the power
to terminate the employment in the Public Service of the public service
officer) may be exercised for and on behalf of the Governor —
(i)
in the case of a public service officer who is a chief
executive officer, by the Minister; or
(ii)
in the case of a public service officer who is not a
chief executive officer, by the employing authority of the department or
organisation;
and
(b) the
power to terminate the employment in the Public Service of that public service
officer (not being a chief executive officer) may be exercised by the Governor
on the recommendation of the Minister of the Crown responsible for the
department or organisation.
