PROSTITUTION ACT 2000 - SECT 55

55 .         Legal proceedings

        (1)         A prosecution for an offence under this Act can only be commenced by a police officer.

        (2)         A court of summary jurisdiction dealing with an offence under this Act is to be constituted by a magistrate.
