Western Australian Consolidated Acts Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister may,
for every prison, appoint visitors to be known as visiting justices.
(2) A visiting justice
shall not carry out the duties of an independent prison visitor.
(3) Visiting justices
shall be appointed from persons who are magistrates or justices of the peace.
(4) Appointments under
this section shall be for a term of 2 years, but a visiting justice may
resign at any time by notice in writing delivered to the Minister.
