Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Every inspector
and restricted inspector is to be provided with a certificate of appointment
signed by the Commissioner or an officer of the department authorised in that
behalf by the Commissioner.
(2) An inspector or a
restricted inspector must produce the certificate to a person if —
(a) the
inspector has performed, or is about to perform, any functions under this Act
in relation to a person; and
(b) the
person requests that the certificate be produced.
(3) A certificate
purporting to have been provided under subsection (1) is, without proof
of the signature of the person purporting to have signed it or of the
person’s authority to have signed it, evidence in a court —
(a) of
the appointment to which the certificate purports to relate; and
(b) of
any other matter specified in the certificate.
