Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) An employee, other
than a seasonal worker who has been informed that he or she has been, or will
be, made redundant is entitled to paid leave of up to 8 hours for the
purpose of being interviewed for further employment.
(2) The 8 hours
need not be consecutive.
(3) An employee who
claims to be entitled to paid leave under subsection (1) is to provide to
the employer evidence that would satisfy a reasonable person of the
entitlement.
(4) Payment for leave
under subsection (1) is to be made in accordance with section 18.
